Christopher Marquez is a Principal in the firm's Commercial Finance Group. He focuses his practice on the representation of financial institutions in complex lending transactions. Chris has extensive experience in structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing leveraged acquisition and working capital financings, recapitalizations, senior secured, split lien and unitranche transactions, and cross-border finance transactions. His practice covers a wide range of the middle market, with deal sizes ranging from $5 million to $400 million, and involves borrowers across a broad spectrum of industries and sectors.&nbsp;

A significant portion of Chris's work also includes representing lenders in connection with inter-creditor and subordination issues, loan workouts and restructurings, and Article 9 remedies.&nbsp;

Among his accolades, in 2023 Chris was chosen as a "40 Under 40" award recipient by The Secured Finance Network. The award recognizes "the best and brightest rising stars in secured finance." As an associate, he was included in <em>The Secured Lender</em>'s "Young Professionals: Ready to Launch" feature publication in November 2014.&nbsp;

Chris is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Secured Finance Network (SFNet). On behalf of the Young Professionals Group of SFNet, in February 2017 he moderated the panel "Middle Market Deal Trends: Recap of 2016, Outlook for 2017."&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

He joined Goldberg Kohn in May 2012 and is a Member of the firm's Administrative and Business Development committees.
